NASCAR is currently taking a break in the intermediate paths during the upcoming few weeks, and this weekend’s event heads to the half-mile venue at Bristol Motor Speedway.
While the racing will be changing up somewhat right now, the storylines stay virtually the same: Kyle Busch has had one of the best cars weekly, Kevin Harvick is still looking for his first triumph and Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin will probably be lurking for their third victories. The past is the past, though, and Busch has all the background at Bristol Motor Speedway, with seven career wins at the trail with 10 top 5s and 15 top 10s to his title there, as well. He won last year’s race at the spring and will look for his third triumph it should be noted he’s wrecked in three of his final eight races in Bristol, so there’s some danger here.
Harvick has become the very best concerning consistency in recent memory, although keselowski and Hamlin do not quite have the same track record since Busch at the track. He hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in his last seven races and has two wins there.
History says he should factor to the win, but he simply hasn’t really had the car yet to win this year and that cannot be overlooked. So until Harvick proves he can find a win it’s really hard to call him making it into victory lane.
We are going with Busch again because he has got the auto, loves Bristol and has factored into the laps at every race he’s been in this season from the Cup Series on to the Trucks.
